"MULLER'S SWEEP" NEW RELEASE by JIM LAURIER
On the morning of September 14, 1918, Fokker DVIIIs of Jasta 18 caught Spads of the 13th Aero Sqaudron on patrol over Thiaucourt. Most of the American pilots were inexperienced and the Fokkers easily surprised them in a "baptism by fire". Three SPADs went down immediately.
Leutnant Hans Muller claimed three SPADs that morning with his sturdy and brightly colored Fokker.
