“Keep Him Flying” Original 1942 War Bonds Poster

Professionally framed and featuring Butch O'Hare who on February 20, 1942, became the Navy's first ACE.

O’Hare single-handedly attacked a formation of nine heavy bombers approaching his aircraft carrier. Even though he had a limited amount of ammunition, he was credited with shooting down five of the enemy bombers and became the first naval recipient of the Medal of Honor in WW2.

This is an early war poster as Butch O'Hare was killed in combat on 11/26/1943 while doing battle in the Gilbert Islands.

This poster includes two "hand stampings" that tell the history of this item.
